【摘要】:Thepurposeofthisguideistoimprovethequalityofinitialemergencymedicalcareprovidedtothesickandinjured.Asthefirsttrainedpersonatanemergencymedicalscene,itiscriticalthatthefirstresponderbeproficientinprovidingpatientcareandminimizingfurthercomplicationsuntilmorehighlytrainedemergencymedicalservicepersonnelintervene.Inidentifyingtheseminima,theguideacknowledgesmanytypesoffirstresponderemergencymedicalcarecoursesofstudy.Thisguideallowsandencouragestheadditionofoptionalknowledge,skill,andattitudinalobjectives.Programssuchasthoseforlawenforcement,firefighters,andskipatrolareexamplesofthisdiversitymeetingspecificlocalcommunityneeds.Thisguideisintendedtoassistthosewhoareresponsiblefordefiningthescopeofperformanceforfirstresponders.Thisguideisnotintendedtobeusedasascopeofperformanceforemergencyambulancepersonnel(seePracticeF1031).1.1Thisguidecoversminimumrequirementsforthescopeofperformanceoffirstresponderswhomayberesponsiblefortheinitialcareofsickandinjuredpersonsofallagesintheprehospitalenvironment.1.2Thisguideincludesobjectivesbasedonanindividual''sacquiredknowledge,includingsignsandsymptoms;patientassessment;basiclifesupport/cardiopulmonaryresuscitation(BLS/CPR);bleedingandshock;injuriestotheskull,spine,chest,abdomen,andextremities;movingpatients;medicalandenvironmentalemergencies;triage;gainingaccess;andhazardoussituationsthatthefirstrespondermayencounter.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
