【摘要】:Thisdocumentspecifiesatestmethodforthequantitativedeterminationofignitiondelayofmiddledistillatefuelsintendedforuseincompressionignitionengines.Themethodutilizesaconstantvolumecombustionchamberdesignedforoperationbycompressionignition,andemployingdirectinjectionoffuelintocompressedairthatiscontrolledtoaspecifiedpressureandtemperature.Anequationisgiventocalculatethederivedcetanenumber(DCN)fromtheignitiondelaymeasurement.Thisstandardisapplicabletodieselfuels,includingthosecontainingFAME.Themethodisalsoapplicabletomiddledistillatefuelsofnon-petroleumorigin.However,usersapplyingthisstandardespeciallytounconventionaldieselfuelsarewarnedthattherelationshipbetweenderivedcetanenumberandcombustionbehaviourinrealenginesisnotyetfullyunderstood.Thestandardcoverstheignitiondelayrangefrom3,3msto6,4ms(61DCNto34DCN).Thecombustionanalysercanmeasureshorterorlongerignitiondelays,butprecisioncanbeaffected.NOTEForthepurposeofthisEuropeanStandard,theexpression“%(V/V)”isusedtorepresentthevolumefractionand“%(m/m)”themassfraction.WARNING—Theuseofthisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operationsandequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

The methods specified herein are not identifiable to any specific ship class or type, but are intended to standardize and minimize variations in installation methods to enhance the compatibility of the installations on all Naval ships.
